New York City

In fall 2009, me and my family took a trip to New York City. I don't know why I didn't write about it sooner.

We went to Central Park and walked around for a few hours. It may be my favorite place in the city. There was a giant Koi swimming in one of the lakes. I wish I could have caught it because I love fishing.

We also walked to Strawberry Fields.

The taxi drivers in New York are crazy. They honk their horns, raise their fists out the window and drive really fast. One of our cab drivers told someone they were stupid because he didn't like how they were driving.

I loved visiting The American Museum of Natural History. I couldn't believe how many dinosaur fossils there were. I especially liked the Tyrannosaurs Rex and the Mammoth. I also saw the world's largest jelly fish, an exhibit on frogs, all kinds of shellfish that I had never seen, giant insects, and a bunch of rocks and minerals.

We rode the Staten Island Ferry and saw the Statue of Liberty.

My favorite meal of the whole trip was when we went to Les Halles, Anthony Bourdain's restaurant. I ordered fish and chips. I can still remember the taste of the fish in my mouth. It was one of the best things I've ever eaten.
